Folate enzymes in Ehrlich ascites carcinoma-bearing mice

Cancer Letters, 1984
The activity of 4 enzymes involved in the formation and interconversion of folate coenzymes has been examined in liver and kidney of healthy and Ehrlich ascites carcinoma-bearing mice. In the liver, a 50% increase of methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase activity was shown soon after tumour cell inoculation, while the activity of formyltetrahydrofolate ...

The ribonuclease activity of the cells of the mouse ascites carcinoma of ehrlich

Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1955
Abstract 1. 1. An acid ribonuclease (pH optimum between 5 and 6) has been found in the cells of the mouse ascites tumor, and some kinetic properties have been described. 2. 2. In contrast to crystalline ribonuclease, this tumor ribonuclease is capable of splitting all phosphodiester linkages present in yeast nucleic acid.

SEX DIFFERENCES IN THE INTRAPERITONEAL GROWTH OF EHRLICH'S ASCITES CARCINOMA

Acta Pathologica Microbiologica Scandinavica, 1963
The morphological changes in Ehrlich ascites carcinoma cells were followed by serial biopsy. The number of large injured cells was found to increase with time until a critical percentage (30 per cent) was reached. Thereafter there were a few large injured tumour cells while the rest were pyknotic. Large injured tumour cells reappeared in later biopsies
