Ehrlichia and Anaplasma in Florida
Ehrlichia and Anaplasma are related bacterial genera containing species that can cause disease in both humans and domestic animals. The diseases are often referred to simply as ehrlichiosis or anaplasmosis, but there are multiple species of bacteria that can cause different disease symptoms and have different vectors. This revised 3-page fact sheet was

Antigenic protein modifications in Ehrlichia
SUMMARY To develop effective vaccination strategies against Ehrlichia, we have previously reported developing an animal model of cross‐protection in which C57BL/6 mice primed with E. muris were resistant to lethal infection with Ixodes ovatus ehrlichia (IOE). Polyclonal antibody produced in mice after priming with E.
