Two new methods of analysis for solar seismology, called the continuous orthonormalization (CON) and adjoint methods, are developed. Their use enables both solar eigenfrequencies and eigenfrequency sensitivities (partial derivatives with respect to solar model parameters) to be computed more accurately and efficiently than with existing methods.

Explaining the Origin of Negative Poisson's Ratio in Amorphous Networks With Machine Learning
This review summarizes how machine learning (ML) breaks the “vicious cycle” in designing auxetic amorphous networks. By transitioning from traditional “black‐box” optimization to an interpretable “AI‐Physics” closed‐loop paradigm, ML is shown to not only discover highly optimized structures—such as all‐convex polygon networks—but also unveil hidden ...

Equilibrium Propagation for Dissipative Dynamics
This work develops local learning rules for damped linear dynamical systems, including mechanical structures and resistor‐inductor‐capacitor (RLC) circuits, by leveraging an effective action formulation. It demonstrates how physical systems can autonomously compute gradients and learn temporal patterns, enabling applications such as sound ...

Surface Charges Guided Quasi‐TEM‐mode Microwave Propagation along Dielectric Nanowire
According to Maxwell's equations, a single‐conductor transmission line cannot allow TEM‐mode electromagnetic wave propagation, however, this is based upon the assumption that dielectric material is isolated from the environment. In practice, surface electrostatic charges widely existed in nano‐materials with large surface‐to‐volume ratio.

Effect of intermediate supports location on natural frequencies of multiple cracked continuous beams
The present paper deals with free vibration of multiple cracked continuous beams with intermediate rigid supports. A simplified method is proposed to obtain general solution of free vibration in cracked beam with intermediate supports that is then used ...

Eigenfrequencies of generally restrained beams [PDF]
We deal with the exact determination of eigenfrequencies of a beam with intermediate elastic constraints and generally restrained ends. It is the purpose of this paper to use the calculus of variations to obtain the equations of motion and the natural boundary conditions, and particularly those at the intermediate constraints.
