Monte Carlo Based Isogeometric Stochastic Finite Element Method for Uncertainty Quantization in Vibration Analysis of Piezoelectric Materials

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
In this study, a Monte Carlo simulation (MCs)-based isogeometric stochastic Finite Element Method (FEM) is proposed for uncertainty quantification in the vibration analysis of piezoelectric materials.

Signal and Noise in Financial Correlation Matrices

open access: yes, 2004
Using Random Matrix Theory one can derive exact relations between the eigenvalue spectrum of the covariance matrix and the eigenvalue spectrum of its estimator (experimentally measured correlation matrix).

Materials for Suppressed Triplet‐Polaron Quenching in Efficient and Long‐Lifetime Phosphorescent OLEDs

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
We performed a computational screening of phosphorescent emitters and charge transporters for OLEDs to identify combinations that minimize triplet‐polaron quenching, a major cause of efficiency loss and short operational lifetimes, especially in blue OLEDs. Our results reveal key design rules and highlight emitter‐transporter pairs that strongly reduce

Multiple eigenvalue sensitivity analysis

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 1990
Eigenvalues are very important in the studies of stability and performances of many dynamical systems. The behavior of constant eigenvalues is quite well understood. However, the behavior of eigenvalues that are dependent on physical parameters, particularly for the cases of multiple parameters, is still little known. This paper presents results on the

Multi‐Mode Deep Strong Coupling in a Multi Quantum Well Fabry–Perot Cavity

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Multi‐mode deep‐strong coupling is demonstrated in a 166‐well heterostructure that acts as a Fabry–Perot cavity. Even cavity modes couple strongly to the cyclotron resonance, producing large vacuum Rabi splittings and a rich polaritonic spectrum captured by a full Hopfield model.

Transient analysis using conical shell elements [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
The use of the NASTRAN conical shell element in static, eigenvalue, and direct transient analyses is demonstrated. The results of a NASTRAN static solution of an externally pressurized ring-stiffened cylinder agree well with a theoretical discontinuity ...

Gait Analysis of Pak Biawak: A Necrobot Lizard Built using the Skeleton of an Asian Water Monitor (Varanus Salvator)

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Pak Biawak, a necrobot, embodies an unusual fusion of biology and robotics. Designed to repurpose natural structures after death, it challenges conventional boundaries between nature and engineering. Its movements are precise yet unsettling, raising questions about sustainability, ethics, and the untapped potential of biointegrated machines.
