Probing Electronic Properties of Carbon Nanotubes [PDF]
Carbon nanotubes are quasi-one-dimensional objects that have many remarkable electronic properties. In Chapter I, an electrostatic force microscopy technique to probe the local density of states of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) under ambient ...

Electrical Transport Properties of Single-Layer WS2
We report on the fabrication of field-effect transistors based on single and bilayers of the semiconductor WS2 and the investigation of their electronic transport properties. We find that the doping level strongly depends on the device environment and that long in-situ annealing drastically improves the contact transparency allowing four-terminal ...

This study explored how effective nickel aluminide coatings are obtained in providing oxidation resistance applied to the Inconel 738 alloy, modeling with diffusion models. In the present study, kinetics and thermal behavior of the Inconel 738 alloy were studied by the low‐temperature thermoreactive aluminizing process, which was carried out at 625°C ...

This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

Thermodynamic and electrical transport properties of PrAg2Si2
Abstract Physical properties of PrAg 2 Si 2 , crystallizing in the tetragonal ThCr 2 Si 2 -type crystal structure, was investigated by means of magnetic, calorimetric and electrical transport measurements. The compound was found to order magnetically below 14 K, and exhibit two subsequent order–order magnetic phase transitions at 11.5 K and 8 K.

Electrical Properties of Un-doped and Doped EuTiO3-based Perovskites [PDF]
Un-doped and doped EuTiO3 (ET) ceramics were prepared in 5%H2/95%N2 and N2 atmospheres at various temperatures (1350, 1450 and 1500 oC). For un-doped ET, higher pellet density (above 90%) and larger grain sized ceramics were obtained from the higher ...

Significantly reinforced thermoelectric performance in the novel 1T-Au6Se2 monolayer
Ultra-low lattice thermal conductivity has long been a requirement for the high thermoelectric properties of materials. In this work, the novel 1T-Au6Se2 monolayer was obtained by introducing Au6 clusters into the selenide monolayer, and its electrical ...
