Introduction to electron holography

Proceedings, annual meeting, Electron Microscopy Society of America, 1994
Electron holography is an imaging method in the transmission electron microscope (TEM) whereby the phase and amplitude of the electron wavefront can be obtained separately, unlike the conventional image which represents the intensity of the electron wave without any direct phase information.

Electron Interferometry and Holography

1995
The wavelength of an electron beam can be as short as on the order of 1/100 A. Therefore, microscopic objects and fields can be measured or observed with this small unit of length by electron interferometry. In fact, extremely interesting electron-interference experiments, though limited in number, were carried out in the 1950s to 1970s to measure ...

IV Electron Holography

1986
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses electron holography. Interest in electron holography is currently on the upswing because of recent improvements in electron beam coherence that has brought the technology closer to practical realization. The chapter discusses recent progress in the area of experimental research regarding electron holography is

Applications of Electron Holography

1999
Electron holography is now at the stage where the emphasis on technique development is slowly shifting towards an emphasis on applications. This is particularly true for electron holography at moderate resolutions, where the phase image gives information about electrostatic and magnetic fields in the sample and in the space around the sample.

Holography in Electron Microscopy

1982
Publisher Summary The chapter introduces a new method called holography, the actual purpose is to invent an electron optical device able to produce strongly magnlfied images, the aberrations of that can be eliminated afterward by light optical processing. The shadow electron microscope of Boersch can be used for the electron optical step.
