Aberration Correction and Electron Holography [PDF]

open access: yesMicroscopy and Microanalysis, 2009
AbstractElectron holography has been shown to allow a posteriori aberration correction. Therefore, an aberration corrector in the transmission electron microscope does not seem to be needed with electron holography to achieve atomic lateral resolution.

Strong-field photoelectron holography in the subcycle limit

open access: yesLight: Science & Applications
Strong-field photoelectron holography is promising for the study of electron dynamics and structure in atoms and molecules, with superior spatiotemporal resolution compared to conventional electron and X-ray diffractometry.

Electron Holography

open access: yes, 2019
Electron holography is a powerful technique that allows the phase shift of a high-energy electron wave that has passed through a specimen in the transmission electron microscope to be measured directly.

Ferroelectric Electron Holography [PDF]

open access: yesMicroscopy and Microanalysis, 2002
Ferroelectrics are increasingly important as materials in semiconductor technology, e.g. for building non-volatile memory chips. For optimisation of the properties of such devices, there is an urgent need for methods, which analyse the ferroelectric properties at nanometer scale. Furthermore, the basic understanding of the interaction of ferroelectrics

Pulsed electron holography [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters, 2013
A technique of pulsed low-energy electron holography is introduced, which allows for recording highly resolved holograms within reduced exposure times. Therefore, stacks of holograms are accumulated in a pulsed mode with individual acquisition times as short as 50 μs. Subsequently, these holograms are aligned and finally superimposed.

Surface-Plasmon Holography

open access: yesiScience, 2020
Summary: Holography was originally invented for the purpose of magnifying electron microscopic images without spherical aberration and has been applied to photography for recording and reconstructing three-dimensional objects.

Holography with low-energy electrons [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1990
We have employed an ultrasharp tip, prepared by field-ion techniques, as a coherent point source of low-energy electrons. The source, which constitutes the origin of a spherical electron wave, is positioned close to small carbon fibers, at which some of the electrons are elastically scattered.

Attributing scientific and technical progress: the case of holography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Holography, the three-dimensional imaging technology, was portrayed widely as a paradigm of progress during its decade of explosive expansion 1964–73, and during its subsequent consolidation for commercial and artistic uses up to the mid 1980s.
