Structure of F2(-) centers in K2YF5 and their relation to thermoluminescence below room temperature [PDF]
X-ray irradiation at 77 K produces signals from several trapped hole and/or electron centers in the electron-paramagnetic-resonance (EPR) spectra of rare-earth-doped K2YF5.

This work reports the self‐assembly of a pyrene derivative into two distinct nanostructures and their application in visible‐light photocatalysis. The two nanostructures exhibit completely different yet complementary photocatalytic activities, promoting either H2 or H2O2 evolution.

Electron spin dynamics during microwave pulses studied by 94 GHz chirp and phase-modulated EPR experiments [PDF]
Electron spin dynamics during microwave irradiation are of increasing interest in electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy, as locking electron spins into a dressed state finds applications in EPR and dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP ...

Bimetallic Nanoparticles as Cocatalysts for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production
Recent developments have introduced bimetallic nanoparticles as effective cocatalysts for photocatalytic systems. This review explores the rapidly expanding research on bimetallic cocatalysts for photocatalytic production of hydrogen, emphasizing the creation of carrier‐selective contacts, localized surface plasmon resonance effects, methodologies for ...

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

S = 3 Ground State for a Tetranuclear Mn^(IV)₄O₄ Complex Mimicking the S₃ State of the Oxygen Evolving Complex [PDF]
The S₃ state is currently the last observable intermediate prior to O–O bond formation at the oxygen-evolving complex (OEC) of Photosystem II, and its electronic structure has been assigned to a homovalent Mn^(IV)₄ core with an S = 3 ground state.

Electrically detected magnetic resonance of carbon dangling bonds at the Si-face 4H-SiC/SiO$_2$ interface [PDF]
SiC based metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) have gained a significant importance in power electronics applications. However, electrically active defects at the SiC/SiO$_2$ interface degrade the ideal behavior of the devices ...
