Methods of gadoid fish species identification in food and their economic impact in the Czech Republic: a review

open access: yesVeterinární Medicína, 2007
The purpose of the present study was to give an overview of imported and traded gadoid fish species (Gadiformes) in the Czech Republic and to describe available methods for their authentication. Due to the increasing interest of customers in the purchase

Continuous-flow electrophoresis: Membrane-associated deviations of buffer pH and conductivity [PDF]

open access: yes
The deviations in buffer pH and conductivity which occur near the electrode membranes in continuous-flow electrophoresis were studied in the Beckman charged particle electrophoresis system and the Hanning FF-5 preparative electrophoresis instrument.

Electrophoresis simulated with the cage model for reptation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The cage model for polymer reptation is extended to simulate DC electrophoresis. The drift velocity v of a polymer with length L in an electric field with strength E shows three different regions: if the strength of field is small, the drift velocity ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Serum proteins and their diagnostic utility in veterinary medicine: a review

open access: yesVeterinární Medicína, 2016
The evaluation of serum proteins and their electrophoretic pattern is a well-established laboratory method in the diagnosis of many diseases in humans, which has replaced the biochemical determination of the concentrations of albumin and the ratio of ...

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Fractionnement et caractérisation des glycoprotéines dans les moûts de raisins blancs

open access: yesOENO One, 1990
