Effect of electropulsing treatment on the recovery of AZ31B magnesium alloy

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part L: Journal of Materials: Design and Applications, 2022
Electropulsing treatment (EPT) is a potential annealing method with advantages of performance improvement and equipment simplification. In the current paper, the effect of EPT on the recovery of AZ31B magnesium alloy during a two-stage plastic deformation process was studied.

Effect of Electropulsing Treatment on the Formation of MnS Inclusions in SUS303

Metallurgical and Materials Transactions B, 2021
Electropulsing treatment was imposed on SUS303 free-cutting steels to analyze the evolution of MnS inclusions. SUS303 steels were treated in argon atmosphere under various conditions: before the formation of MnS inclusions (1773 K), at the beginning of the formation of MnS inclusions (1678 K), and after the formation and growth of MnS inclusions (1583 ...

Electropulse water treatment

Digest of Technical Papers. 12th IEEE International Pulsed Power Conference. (Cat. No.99CH36358), 2003
A pulsed barrier discharge in a water-air mixture is used for water treatment. A dispersed water stream goes through several layers of electrodes like a shower. A voltage of several tens of kilovolts is applied to the electrode system with a pulse repetition rate from 100 to 1500 pulses per second and a pulse duration less than 10/sup -6/ s.

Electropulsing Aging Treatment of Cu–Ni–Si Sheet for Microforming

Advanced Engineering Materials, 2021
Electropulsing aging treatment (EAT) can achieve a significant increase in the strength and conductivity of a Cu–Ni–Si alloy in a short time while maintaining a lower temperature. Compared with aging treatment in a conventional heating furnace at 450 °C for 120 min, EAT can reach or even exceed the same strength and conductivity in only 5 min.

Effect of electropulsing treatment on the microstructure and superelasticity of TiNi alloy

Applied Physics A, 2012
Cold-rolled TiNi alloy was treated by electropulsing with different process parameters. The superelasticity, electrical resistivity and microstructure evolution of the TiNi alloy were investigated. The recrystallization is found to happen in the cold-rolled TiNi alloys during electropulsing treatment (EPT) processing and it took 9 s to complete the ...
