Effect of Electropulsing Treatment on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of a Deformed ZrTiAlV Alloy. [PDF]
In contrast to conventional heat treatment processes, electropulsing not only heats an alloy, but also exerts some other positive effects during the heating process. In this paper, the microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of a deformed Zr40Ti5Al4V alloy after electropulsing treatment were investigated.

Effect of Electropulsing Treatment on the Fatigue Crack Growth Behavior of Copper. [PDF]
Crack propagation was quantitatively evaluated to investigate the effect of electropulsing treatment (EPT) on fatigue crack growth of copper specimens. Varying fatigue cycles were obtained under six different load levels. The crack lengths were measured under two load levels to examine the effect of cyclic stress.

New Insight Into Crack-Healing Mechanism via Electropulsing Treatment [PDF]
AbstractA combination of experiment and numerical simulation was employed to study the healing mechanism of fatigue crack via a novel route of electropulsing treatment (EPT) named dual-step EPT processing. By applying cyclic loads, similar cracks were generated in 316L stainless steel samples.

Influence of Electropulsing Treatments on Mechanical Properties of UNS S32750 Duplex Stainless Steel. [PDF]
Prestrained at 5% and 15% duplex stainless steel UNS S32750 specimens have been subjected to electropulsing treatments with current density of 100 A/mm2 and 200 A/mm2 and 100 and 500 pulses for each current density value. Corrosion tests, X-ray diffraction, microhardness and residual stresses were collected before and after the electropulsing ...

Embrittlement of 316L stainless steel in electropulsing treatment
Electropulsing treatment is known to induce the so-called electroplastic effect, which is accompanied by an increase in ductility of metals. However, in this study we find that the application of electric current pulse reduces the flow stress and strain ...

Heat Treatment of AA7075 by Electropulsing and DC Current Application
Electrical resistivity was used in this test methodology to estimate the relative precipitate density in AA7075. Various electrical test parameters were explored to determine the difference between pulsed and DC-type currents. No difference between these

Strengthening and Toughening of ZG25SiMn2CrB Steel without Tempering Brittleness via Electropulsing Treatment. [PDF]
High-strength low-alloy steels are widely used, but their traditional heat-treatment process is complex, energy-intensive, and makes it difficult to fully exploit the material’s potential. In this paper, the electropulsing processing technology was applied to the quenching and tempering process of ZG25SiMn2CrB steel.
