Extending the Range of Sizes of Monodisperse Core‐Shell Hydrogel Capsules from Composite Jet Breakup by Combined Electrical and Mechanical Actuation

Advanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a microfluidic approach combining electrical and mechanical actuation to improve control over liquid jet breakup and droplet formation. By adjusting excitation frequency and applying an electric field, coalescence is reduced and droplet uniformity is enhanced.

Mortalin and PINK1/Parkin‐Mediated Mitophagy Represent Ovarian Cancer‐Selective Targets for Drug Development

Ovarian cancer patients with high levels of mortalin protein in their tumors have worse survival. The investigational drug SHetA2 interferes with mortalin's support of mitochondria. Discovering Uncharted Binding Pockets on E3 Ligases Leads to the Identification of FBW7 Allosteric Modulators

A computational approach to identify and characterize ligandable binding pockets on E3 ligases is presented. As a validation case, the first low‐micromolar small moleculesthat bind to the FBW7 E3 ligase are identified and confirmed to bind at the intended site.
