Single‐Step Synthesis of a Heterometallic [Cu2PdL4]2+ Hybrid Metal–Organic Coordination Cage

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A heterotrimetallic [Cu2PdL4]2+ lantern‐type cage has been synthesized in a single self‐assembly step from a low‐symmetry heterotopic ligand containing terminal groups with different metal coordination preferences, hybridizing the metallosupramolecular motifs of Cu4L4 and Pd2L4 cages.

A Bench‐Stable Fluorophosphine Nickel(0) Complex and Its Catalytic Application

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We herein present the synthesis of a bench‐stable Ni(0) complex, [Ni(PFPh2)4], stabilized by vastly underexplored fluorophosphine ligands. The application of [Ni(PFPh2)4] in Suzuki–Miyaura and Kumada‐Tamao‐Corriu cross‐coupling reactions as well as in Buchwald–Hartwig C─N bond formation reactions, indicates its promising potential as alternative to ...
