The Expanding Role of Electrospray Ionization Mass Spectrometry for Probing Reactive Intermediates in Solution

open access: yesMolecules, 2012
Within the past decade, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) has rapidly occupied a prominent position for liquid-phase mechanistic studies due to its intrinsic advantages allowing for efficient “fishing” (rapid, sensitive, specific and ...

The limited effect of electric conductivity on the ion current evaporated from electrospray sources [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Electrohydrodynamic modeling and experimental observations indicate that the ion evaporation current emitted by passively-fed electrospray sources is independent of the electrical conductivity of the ionic liquid. This contrasts with cone-jet electrosprays, in which current depends on conductivity at fixed flow rates.

Experimental Study on the Enhancement of Particle Removal Efficiency in Spray Tower Scrubber Using Electrospray

open access: yesAsian Journal of Atmospheric Environment, 2014
There have been a lot of efforts to keep permissible emission standards and to reduce the amount of emitted air pollutants. There are several air pollution control equipments, however, wet scrubber is used to remove particulate matters and gaseous ...

Platinum(II), palladium(II), nickel(II), and gold(I) complexes of the “electrospray-friendly” thiolate ligands 4-SC₅H₄N- and 4-SC₆H₄OMe- [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The series of platinum(II), palladium(II), and nickel(II) complexes [ML₂(dppe)] [M = Ni, Pd, Pt; L = 4-SC₅H₄N or 4-SC₆H₄OMe; dppe = Ph₂PCH₂CH₂PPh₂] containing pyridine-4-thiolate or 4-methoxybenzenethiolate ligands, together with the corresponding gold(I)

A rapid screening, “combinatorial-type” survey of the metalloligand chemistry of Pt₂(PPh₃)₄(μ-S)₂ using electrospray mass spectrometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Electrospray mass spectrometry is a rapid and powerful technique for a combinatorial-like survey of the chemistry of the metalloligand Pt₂(PPh₃)₄(μ-S)₂, leading to the successful isolation and crystallographic characterisation of the novel protonated ...

Chitin Nanofibril Application in Tympanic Membrane Scaffolds to Modulate Inflammatory and Immune Response

open access: yesPharmaceutics, 2021
Chitin nanofibrils (CNs) are an emerging bio-based nanomaterial. Due to nanometric size and high crystallinity, CNs lose the allergenic features of chitin and interestingly acquire anti-inflammatory activity. Here we investigate the possible advantageous

Quantification of sirolimus by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry using on-line solid-phase extraction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Quantification of the new immunosuppressant sirolimus (syn. rapamycin; Rapamune((R))) in whole blood by chromatography is essential for its clinical use since no immunoassay is available although monitoring is mandatory.
