The Role of Charge in Microdroplet Redox Chemistry [PDF]
In charged water microdroplets, which occur in nature or in the lab upon ultrasonication or in electrospray processes, the thermodynamics for reactive chemistry can be dramatically altered relative to the bulk phase. Here, we provide a theoretical basis for the observation of accelerated chemistry by simulating water droplets of increasing charge ...

A Novel Merocyanine Derivative for Probing Polarity at Cubosome Interfaces
This study reports the development of a synthetic route for the chemical environment sensor C10SP, designed for incorporation into phytantriol‐based cubosomes. The molecule combines an apolar aliphatic tail for lipid bilayer anchoring with a polarity‐sensitive chromophore.

Single‐Step Synthesis of a Heterometallic [Cu2PdL4]2+ Hybrid Metal–Organic Coordination Cage
A heterotrimetallic [Cu2PdL4]2+ lantern‐type cage has been synthesized in a single self‐assembly step from a low‐symmetry heterotopic ligand containing terminal groups with different metal coordination preferences, hybridizing the metallosupramolecular motifs of Cu4L4 and Pd2L4 cages.

Alterations in gut microbiota and metabolites contribute to postoperative sleep disturbances
In this study, we classified postoperative patients into poor sleepers (PS) and good sleepers (GS) based on the bispectral index (BIS), and transplanted their fecal microbiota to pseudo‐germ‐free rats to analyze the sleep changes in rats and the potential mechanism.

A Bench‐Stable Fluorophosphine Nickel(0) Complex and Its Catalytic Application
We herein present the synthesis of a bench‐stable Ni(0) complex, [Ni(PFPh2)4], stabilized by vastly underexplored fluorophosphine ligands. The application of [Ni(PFPh2)4] in Suzuki–Miyaura and Kumada‐Tamao‐Corriu cross‐coupling reactions as well as in Buchwald–Hartwig C─N bond formation reactions, indicates its promising potential as alternative to ...

Cannabidiol (CBD) has numerous therapeutic properties, and is used to treat neurological conditions, such as neuroinflammation. However, the optimal dose of CBD to penetrate the brain requires further investigation. The primary aim of this study was to use a mouse model and the intrabuccal route for CBD administration to determine the optimal dose at ...

Fifteen new dinuclear arene‐ruthenium (II)‐BODIPY conjugates were synthesized. Despite a fluorescence quenching effect, these conjugates can be used as fluorescent tracers. Their antiparasitic activity but also their toxicity against healthy human foreskin fibroblasts (HFFs) was reduced compared to the parent ruthenium compounds.
