A Dual‐Emissive DNA‐Templated Silver Nanocluster with Near‐Infrared I and II Emission

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
This study presents a dual‐emissive DNA‐stabilized silver nanocluster with a nanosecond‐lived NIR‐I emission band and a microsecond‐lived NIR‐II emission band. Mass spectrometry establishes that the nanocluster has molecular formula (DNA)2[Ag17]11+. DNA sequence variations reveal critical nucleobases for stabilization, and modifications at the DNA 5 ...

Organic, Transparent, and Flexible Films Exhibiting White‐Light Emission via Polymer‐Network Engineering: A Non‐Dye‐Centric Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A hydrogel‐based white light‐emitting (WLE) material is synthesized, where emission results from the synergistic interaction of two complementary dyes embedded in the polymer matrix. By tuning the monomer and cross‐linker composition, the system achieves balanced white light fluorescence with high transparency and flexibility, showcasing a matrix ...

Water‐Mediated 1,7‐Palladium Aryl‐to‐Aryl Migration in an Unusual Aryne Trimerization Enables the Synthesis of Multihelicenes with Profoundly Hindered Stereogenic Axes

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
In the presence of a Pd0 catalyst, large π‐extended arynes trimerize in an unusual manner to forge extremely compact and strained chiral benzenoids. This new trimerization reaction involves a 1,7‐Pd isomerization, a rare and poorly understood process that is elucidated.

Rhodium‐Catalyzed Oxidative CH o‐Arylation of s‐Aryltetrazines with Aryl Boronic Acids: One‐Step Selective Access to T‐Shaped and Z‐Shaped Polyaromatics

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
A one‐step regioselective access to T‐Shaped and Z‐Shaped polyaromatics s‐tetrazines by a rhodium‐catalyzed oxidative CH o‐functionalization is reported. Electron‐rich aryl coupling partners display a higher reactivity than electron‐poor aryl, and allow the formation of poly(hetero)aromatic derivatives while avoiding 1,4‐azaphilic addition of the ...

Naphthalimide Derivatives as Film‐Based Fluorescent Sensors for Rapid Detection of Illicit Drugs

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
Four novel 1,8‐naphthalimide (NI) derivatives for the detection of illicit drugs with different substituents at the 4‐position are reported. Their contrasting fluorescence responses enables five illicit drugs to be distinguished from interferents with a mean classification accuracy of 81%.

Characterization and Determination of the Alkaloid Metabolites of Evodiae fructus in Rat Urine by Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry Detection

open access: yesMolecules, 2011
The lack of authentic standards limits the quantitative analysis of herbal drugs in biological samples. This present work demonstrated a practicable assay of herbs and their metabolites independent of the availability of authentic standards.
