Micromechanical relay with electrostatic actuation and metallic contacts
In this paper, an improved design of an electrostatic polysilicon microrelay with metallic contacts is presented. The polysilicon layer is used for the actuator while the nickel and gold layers are used for the contacts.

Multilayered Digital Microfluidic Chip for Cell‐Based Assays
A multilayered digital microfluidic (mDMF) chip architecture is introduced to improve throughput and robustness in cell‐based assays. By multilayering electrode components and dielectric layers on glass, this design significantly reduces actuation voltage, maintains reliability, and enables expansion of the operational area with minimum current leakage.

Two‐Way Shape Memory Polymer Composite Gripper for Adaptive Robotic Applications
A two‐way shape memory polymer (SMP) composite is developed with intrinsic shape‐changing capability driven solely by temperature, eliminating external actuation loads. Embedding the SMP in a low‐stiffness elastomeric matrix enabled reversible transformations during heating and cooling cycles.
