GATA4‐Driven Transcription of HtrA1 Promotes Cellular Senescence in Ménière's Disease and Age‐Related Audio‐Vestibular Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies the HDAC6/GATA4/HtrA1 axis as a critical driver of cellular senescence in the inner ear. GATA4 nuclear translocation, facilitated by HDAC6 downregulation, transcriptionally activates HtrA1, promoting hair cell senescence, SASP, and audio‐vestibular dysfunction in models of Ménière's disease and age‐related audio‐vestibular ...

Machine learning-based prediction of recurrent extrahepatic bile duct stones after common bile duct exploration: a comparative study of models and SHAP-driven interpretability analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Medicine
PurposeThis study aimed to construct and compare machine learning models for predicting recurrent extrahepatic bile duct stones after common bile duct exploration and to clarify the contribution of key risk factors using SHAP analysis, thereby providing ...

Guidance for an expert system approach to elevated duct assessment over the Northeastern Pacific Ocean [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of IGARSS '94 - 1994 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2002
A knowledge base has been developed, tested and validated which relates synoptic and mesoscale weather map features, and satellite cloud patterns to the occurrence, height and intensity of elevated ducts which affect radar propagation over ocean and coastal areas.

Selection criteria for preoperative endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography before laparoscopic cholecystectomy and endoscopic treatment of bile duct stones. Results of a retrospective; single center study between 1996-2002

open access: yes, 2004
AIM: The optimal treatment for bile duct stones (in terms of cost, complications and accuracy) is unclear. The aim of our study was to determine the predictive factors for preoperative endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).

Gut Mycobiota‐Associated Tryptophan Catabolites Protect Against Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accumulating evidence suggests that the intestinal microbiota participates in the progression of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) through microbiota‐host interaction. However, the beneficial role of commensal mycobiota in MASLD progression remains poorly understood.

Analytical modelling of sound transmission in a lined duct

open access: yes, 2013
The focus of this thesis is on the prediction of sound attenuation through a lined duct, based on a mathematical model. Ducts with a single section as well as multi-segmented sections are discussed. The duct of interest has a rectangular cross-section as

Nanocellulose Alleviates Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy via Gut Microbiota‐Mediated Bile Acid Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanocellulose, derived from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) through sulfuric acid hydrolysis or mechanical grinding to produce CNC or CNF, was tested in a rat ICP model. Particularly, CNF improved gut microbiota composition, reduced secondary bile acid metabolism, and restored bile acid homeostasis through modulation of the gut–liver axis.

Liver transplantation for the treatment of iatrogenic bile duct injury

open access: yes, 2022
Objective: to assess the outcomes of our patients who were subjected to LT for iatrogenic bile duct injury. Methods: all patients who underwent LT for treatment of complications of biliary duct injury were included in the study.
