Metabolites of the Ellagitannin Geraniin and Their Antioxidant Activities [PDF]
Different types of ellagitannins are reported to have various biological activities, such as antioxidant, antiviral, and antitumor activities. However, there are few definitive studies on the absorption and metabolism of ellagitannins. This review compares the absorption and metabolism of ellagitannins, and the antioxidant properties of their ...

Effect of size and toasting degree of oak chips used for winemaking on the ellagitannin content and on the acutissimin formation [PDF]
The effect of size (2 and 8 mm) and toasting degree (light, medium and high) of oak chips on the Cglycosidic ellagitannins composition of model wine solutions has been studied by HPLC-ESI-MS-MS. Furthermore, the effect of the presence of (þ)-catechin (50

Enzymatic oxidation of ellagitannin and a new ellagitannin metabolite from Camellia japonica leaves
Polyphenols in the leaves of Camellia japonica L. at different stages of growth were analyzed by HPLC. Pedunculagin [2,3; 4,6-bis-(S)-hexahydroxydiphenoyl-D-glucose] was the major polyphenol in the youngest leaves. The levels of this compound and (+)-catechin decreased as the leaves matured.
