Expression and purification of ELP-intein-tagged target proteins in high cell density E. coli fermentation [PDF]

open access: yesMicrobial Cell Factories, 2010
Background Elastin-like polypeptides (ELPs) are useful tools that can be used to non-chromatographically purify proteins. When paired with self-cleaving inteins, they can be used as economical self-cleaving purification tags. However, ELPs and ELP-tagged

Photothermal-Responsive Phase Transition of Proteoliposomes for Heat Shock Protein Sequestering against Cancer Thermoresistance [PDF]

open access: yesResearch
Photothermal therapy (PTT) has garnered considerable attention for its noninvasive and localized treatment advantages. However, in response to PTT-induced hyperthermia, cancer cells increase the expression level of heat shock proteins (HSPs) and activate

ELP: Tractable Rules for OWL 2 [PDF]

open access: bronze, 2008
We introduce $\text{\sf{ELP}}$ as a decidable fragment of the Semantic Web Rule Language (SWRL) that admits reasoning in polynomial time. $\text{\sf{ELP}}$ is based on the tractable description logic $\mathcal{EL}^{\mathord{+}\mathord{+}}$, and encompasses an extended notion of the recently proposed DL rules for that logic.

ELP Estimation

open access: yesEssentials in Ophthalmology
Abstract The rationale of the “thin-lens” IOL power calculation formula and the definition of the estimated lens plane (ELP) are explained. Because the ELP is often back-calculated from the observed outcome the ELP is different from the physical position of the IOL.
