Chromatographic separation of enantiomers
Pharmaceutisch Weekblad Scientific Edition, 1988In this paper a review is presented on the chromatographic analysis of enantiomers with special attention to high pressure liquid chromatography. Also, some examples of resolution of racemates by thin layer chromatography and gas chromatography are given.

Stochastic Detection of Enantiomers
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2006The rapid quantification of the enantiomers of small chiral molecules is very important, notably in pharmacology. Here, we show that the enantiomers of drug molecules can be distinguished by stochastic sensing, a single-molecule detection technique.

Biotransformation of deprenyl enantiomers
European Journal of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, 1999Rats were treated with either (-)- or (+)-deprenyl, and the metabolites extracted from the plasma, liver, kidney and heart homogenates were studied by chiral capillary electrophoresis (CE). Stereoselective dealkylation of both optical isomers with the formation of desmethyldeprenyl (DD), methamphetamine (MA), and amphetamine (A) was found.

Ketamine enantiomers and acetylcholinesterase
Biochemical Pharmacology, 1991(-)-ketamine was found to be more potent than (+)-ketamine in all the studied reactions with acetylcholinesterase. In most cases the difference was small but for two rate constants the (-)-form was unique in having effects. Thus, the stereoselectivity of ketamine in this system is the opposite of most other systems studied.

Sympathomimetic enantiomers and asthma
Chirality, 1998Airways of asthma patients can become hyperresponsive to airway spasmogens following regular use of isoprenaline or beta 2-selective sympathomimetics. Hyper-reactivity that results from acute exposure of animals to these drugs is pre-empted by vagal section (a procedure which does not influence spasmolytic efficacy of sympathomimetics), is not ...

CHROMATOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION OF ENANTIOMERS
Chemical Engineering Communications, 1998Abstract In the pharmaceutical industry, the increasing demand of new single enantiomer products has raised a great interest towards chromatographic separation methods. While analytical applications of high performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography are well established, the scaling up to preparative applications still needs a better ...

Spin crossover properties of enantiomers, co-enantiomers, racemates, and co-racemates
Dalton Transactions, 2016Spin-crossover Puzzle: SCO co-enantiomers, racemates, and co-racemates were successfully assembled via cocrystallization of four prefabricated enantiomeric iron(ii) modules 4R, 4S, 5R and 5S.

Crystallization of enantiomers
Chemical Engineering and Processing: Process Intensification, 2006Abstract Pure enantiomers are of large interest for several industries. Chemical synthesis is frequently not selective and provides racemic mixtures causing a large interest in efficient separation processes. Preparative chromatography is nowadays a powerful and flexible but expensive technology.
