Endo- versus exo-cavity interplay of p-benzylcalix[4]arene with spheroidal molecules

open access: yes, 2006
p-Benzylcalix[4]arene forms inclusion complexes with o-carborane and C60 wherein the icosahedral molecules reside endo or exo relative to the calixarene cavity with the threshold for endo vs.

Tau Aggregate Imaging and Transcriptomics of Alzheimer's Disease Brain at Different Stages of Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The protein aggregates and gene expression in the middle temporal gyrus (MTG) and somatosensory cortex (SOM) of the postmortem brains of 13 Alzheimer's disease patients were studied in detail, revealing that small hyperphosphorylated tau aggregates increase with Braak stage driven by microglial inflammation.

Modelling the system dynamics of household food, water, and energy nexus effects

open access: yesHeliyon
The food-energy-water nexus (F-E-W) serves as a crucial resource for the sustainability of households, while the efficiency of resource use largely depends on our understanding and management of the nexus including all three factors. Limited research has

A State‐Gated Metallo‐DNAzyme Framework Programs Tumor Stress Vulnerability Through Metabolic Licensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A tumor‐state‐gated metallo‐DNAzyme framework integrates miR‐21/APE1‐responsive GLUT1 silencing with Ca/Cu‐partitioned metal–nucleic acid assembly and cystine loading. The framework first weakens glucose‐dependent metabolic buffering and then amplifies copper‐ and disulfide‐associated stress, converting tumor metabolic adaptation into programmable ...

Molecular Glue Degraders Enhance CAPRIN1‐Dependent Lysosomal Degradation of APP and Reduce Amyloid β in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new class of lysosome‐directed molecular glue degraders selectively enhance CAPRIN1–APP interactions, driving APP degradation and reducing amyloid‐β production in human neurons and Alzheimer's disease mouse models. This CAPRIN1‐dependent targeted protein degradation strategy reveals a previously unrecognized therapeutic approach for disrupting the ...

Thermofil endo-xilanázok összehasonlítása

open access: yes, 2010
Thermobifida fusca gram-pozitív, aerob, közepesen termofil, szálas, talajlakó baktérium mely az Actinobaktériumok közé tartozik. Fő lebontója a növényi sejtfalnak. Hat különböző cellulázt izoláltak belőle ebből 4db endo- és 2db exo-enzim.

TH/TRs–COL11A2 Axis Mediates Loss of a Differentiated Astrocyte State in Hypogyrified Brains

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using a gyrencephalic congenital hypothyroidism pig model, this study reveals cerebral atrophy and cortical hypogyrification. Single‐cell sequencing identifies astrocytes as major TH‐responsive cells, with the COL11A2‐enriched Astro‐2 state nearly absent.

Expanding Genetic Code to Generate Human Brain Organoids with Both Vasculature and Microglia‐Like Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using genetic code expansion, we engineered vascularized human cerebral organoids (vhCOs) with microglia‐like cells and blood‐brain barrier features. vhCOs recapitulate neurovascular interactions, regional identities, and neuronal subtypes resembling the fetal brain.

Raman Analysis of RNA Nucleotide Strands From SARS‐CoV‐2 Variants and Subvariants: A Step Forward in the Definition of “Raman Genome”

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Main Raman signals in RNA, related to helical backbone, ribofuranose ring, and nitrogenous bases, are affected by secondary structures that cause hyperchromic effects and significantly alter the Raman intensity. ABSTRACT Raman spectra of RNA nucleotide strands extracted from 20 SARS‐CoV‐2 strains, including the original Japanese isolate, Alpha, Beta ...
