Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) employs a cap‐independent (CI) translation strategy to evade host translational shutoff. During the shut‐off of host cellular canonical translation, DEAD‐box protein 3 (DDX3) bind to JEV UTRs to establish a closed‐loop architecture, and its interaction with poly(A)‐binding protein 1 (PABP1) to form DDX3/PABP1/eIF4G ...

Electrochemical‐Genetic Programming of Protein‐Based Magnetic Soft Robots for Active Drug Delivery
This manuscript presents a protein‐based soft robot for active drug delivery. Stimuli‐responsive protein is rationally designed and processed into the substrate of robots. Superparamagnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles are patterned on the substrate using an electrochemical method, enabling the robot to respond to external physical fields.

Focused ultrasound‐mediated APOE4 knockdown in mouse brain
Abstract INTRODUCTION The apolipoprotein E (APOE) ε4 allele is widely recognized as the strongest genetic risk factor for late‐onset Alzheimer's disease. Therapeutic strategies to reduce apoE4 expression in APOE ε4 carriers hold promise to mitigate neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative processes driving disease progression. METHODS Focused ultrasound

The highly negatively charged phosphodiester groups of nucleic acids and cyclic (di‐)nucleotides often interact with amino acids containing polar or positively charged sidechains. Due to charge repulsion with their negatively charged carboxylate groups in their side chains, glutamate and aspartate are considered to be detrimental to such interactions ...
