The 14N ENDOR of the radical anion (SO3)2NO= has been observed in fluid solutions in water and in water-ethanol mixtures, and trapped in irradiated single crystals of potassium hydroxylamine disulphonate. The quadrupole coupling has been estimated from the solid-state spectra and it is argued that this interaction is too weak to provide a significant ...

A new technique for performing electron nuclear double resonance experiments, based on the observation of electron spin echoes, has been developed. Radio-frequency resonance transitions are induced during the time interval between pulses II and III of a stimulated echo sequence, and cause a fall in the echo signal amplitude.

Abstract Coals with carbon contents of 76 and 82 wt%, respectively, and their mixtures with ethylenediamine, were investigated by 1 H ENDOR spectroscopy. In all cases the spectra obtained had a single line centred on the free proton frequency and one or two pairs of lines indicating a weak electron-nuclear interaction.

Computer controlled ENDOR spectrometer
Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1974The design and construction of a computer-controlled X-band ENDOR spectrometer are described. The instrument operates in the RF band 3-39 MHz with a maximum power of 1 kW, corresponding to fields of 80 G peak to peak in the cavity. Details of a new construction for the microwave cavity are given. A minicomputer is used for control of the experiment and

An ENDOR spectrometer has been developed which is especially suitable for studying ligand hyperfine interactions. The complicated ligand ENDOR spectra are considerably simplified by alignment of the crystalline axes relative to the magnetic field direction.

The line shapes of ENDOR spin-echoes of free radicals in liquid solution are calculated by exact solution of the equation of motion of the density matrix including relaxation and coherence effects. It is found that the duration of the r.f. pulse is very important in determining the ENDOR line width. The strength of the r.f.

Polarization-modulated ENDOR spectroscopy
Journal of Magnetic Resonance (1969), 1984Abstract Electron nuclear double-resonance spectroscopy with a polarization-modulated radiofrequency field (PM-ENDOR) is reported. In this novel technique, each ENDOR line in a single-crystal spectrum is characterized by two additional parameters (PM amplitude and PM phase).

Hyperfine Spectroscopy - ENDOR
2016Electron-nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) is a widely used technique to measure the nuclear frequencies of paramagnetic centers in solution, single crystals, and disordered systems such as powders and frozen solutions. This article starts with a theoretical overview of the energy levels and corresponding ENDOR spectra of low-and high-spin systems in ...

Technology of ENDOR Spectrometers
1992One straightforward approach to building an ENDOR spectrometer is to take a conventional EPR spectrometer, add the ability to produce a sufficiently high radio-frequency magnetic field in the microwave cavity, modulate this field, and then try to detect the change of the EPR signal, the ENDOR signal, with a lock-in amplifier. However, this will usually
