A frameshift variant in FAM129C contributes to achalasia through B cell responses against the GABAA receptor

Achalasia is a rare esophageal motility disorder of poorly understood etiology. Here, we perform a large trio-based whole-genome sequencing study of achalasia and identify a recessively inherited frameshift variant in FAM129C (p.Ala454fs).

Iron‐Tannic Acid Hydrogel Mediated Mild Photothermal Therapy Combined With Ferroptosis Enhances Anti‐Tumor Immunity in Colorectal Cancer

An injectable gelatin‐based tannic acid–iron hydrogel with mild photothermal therapy could not only induce immunogenic cell death, but also elicit ferroptosis of both tumor cells and tumor‐associated macrophages, resulting in DC maturation, T‐cell infiltration and down‐regulation of ferroptosis‐sensitive M2‐type TAMs levels.
