Living Liquid Metal Composites Embedded with Electrogenic Endospores for Next‐Generation Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 20, 9 March 2026.
A new class of living liquid metal composites is introduced, embedding Bacillus subtilis endospores into eutectic gallium–indium (EGaIn). The spores enhance droplet coalescence, strengthen interfacial conductivity, and provide on‐demand electrogenic functionality after germination. The composites exhibit high conductivity, self‐healing, patternability,

Comparative efficacy of seed biopriming and soil drenching with Bacillus altitudinis TM22 and Bacillus atrophaeus MCM61 on the suppression of Fusarium wilt of cotton

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 3, Page 2424-2445, March 2026.
Co‐application of Bacillus strains TM22 and MCM61 suppressed Fusarium wilt of cotton. Seed biopriming with Bacillus strains performed better than soil drenching. TM22 + MCM61 improved vegetative and physiological aspects in cotton plants. TM22 + MCM61 enhanced the activity of defense enzymes and defense gene expression.

BREAD ROPE SPOILAGE DEVELOPMENT

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Science (Chişinău), 2023
Rope spoilage of bread is produced by bacteria belonging to Bacillus genus. Insufficient cleaning of the wheat before the milling operation contributes to obtaining flour with a high degree of contamination with these bacteria which ...

Nutrient germination improves DNA recovery from industrial Bacillus subtilis endospores during qPCR enumeration assays

open access: yesHeliyon, 2019
Growth-independent microbial enumeration methods such as quantitative PCR require the efficient extraction of genomic DNA from targeted cells. Bacillus endospores are popular inclusions in commercial products due to their hardiness and metabolic dormancy;

Chronic Antibiotic Use, Gut Microbiota Dysbiosis, and Increased Risk of Colorectal Cancer: An Emerging Threat

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims The gut microbiota plays a vital role in host health by regulating metabolic processes, immune function, and epithelial barrier functions. Chronic use of antibiotics can alter this environment and introduce gut dysbiosis, which is defined as an alteration of microbial communities characterized by a loss of beneficial ...
