Doubly labelled water measurement of total energy expenditure.

Diabete & metabolisme, 1995
The doubly labelled water method uses the principles of indirect calorimetry to measure total energy expenditure from the turnover rates of two stable isotopes: deuterium and oxygen 18. Labelling total body water also provides estimates of body composition and measurements of water outflow rates.

Energy labeling

2012
Recent awareness on process and product sustainability has brought about the diff usion of a wide range of tools to measure, evaluate, and compare energy performance. Energy labeling represents one of the most important systems in providing benchmarks for both sustainability performance and guidance in purchases models.

High-Throughput Genotyping With Energy Transfer-Labeled Primers

2006
The Amplifluor method for single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) genotyping provides homogeneous assays that utilize a pair of universal energy transfer-labeled primers. The main advantage of this single-step, loci-independent, low-cost method is that it can be readily adapted for new SNPs.
