Serotoninergic, peptidergic and GABAergic innervation of the ventrolateral and dorsolateral motor nuclei in the cat S1/S2 segments: An immunofluorescence study [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Indirect single- and double-staining immunofluorescence techniques were used to study the serotoninergic, peptidergic and GABAergic innervation of the ventrolateral (Onuf's nucleus) and dorsolateral (innervating intrinsic foot sole muscles) nuclei ...

New analogues of leucine-methionine-enkephalin

open access: yesJournal of Biosciences, 1988
Nine analogues of the opioid pentapeptides leucine-/ methionine-enkephalinamide, involving replacement of amino acid at position 5 or amino acids at positions 2 and 5, have been synthesized by the solid phase method using mainly 9-fluorenylmethyloxycarbonyl amino acid trichlorophenyl esters in the presence of 1-hydroxybenzotriazole, the solid support ...

Molecular and Endocrine Regulation of Ovarian Maturation in the Black Tiger Prawn (Penaeus monodon) and Associated Challenges in Its Aquaculture

open access: yesReviews in Aquaculture, Volume 18, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Over the past four decades, substantial research has investigated the regulation of ovarian maturation and spawning in the black tiger prawn (Penaeus monodon). In this species, female reproduction is strongly suppressed by gonad‐inhibiting hormone (GIH) released from the eyestalk, making eyestalk ablation (ESA) the most widely adopted spawning‐

Antimalarial Polyethylene Glycol–Lumefantrine Conjugates: Synthesis and Effect of Linker Chemistry on Drug Release

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
Research into advanced therapeutics for malaria are rare. We investigate how linker chemistry governs the release kinetics of the antimalarial lumefantrine from polyethylene glycol conjugates. A clear correlation between diacid linker length and drug release rate is established, enabling rational design of conjugates with controlled release.

Conformation-Specific Spectroscopy of Peptide Fragment Ions in a Low-Temperature Ion Trap [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We have applied conformer-selective infrared-ultraviolet (IR-UV) double-resonance photofragment spectroscopy at low temperatures in an ion trap mass spectrometer for the spectroscopic characterization of peptide fragment ions.

Untargeted Metabolomics Reveals Seasonal and Tissue‐Specific Metabolic Shifts in Holothuria cinerascens

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 2, February 2026.
Untargeted metabolic profiling of three body tissues from Holothuria cinerascens in South Africa using 1H‐NMR and UPLC–QTOF–MS revealed distinct tissue‐specific and seasonal metabolic variations, with the body wall and gut/mesentery exhibiting high metabolite diversity.

Proposal of 5-methoxy-N-methyl-N-isopropyltryptamine consumption biomarkers through identification of in vivo metabolites from mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
New psychoactive substances (NPS) are a new breed of synthetically produced substances designed to mimic the effects of traditional illegal drugs. Synthetic cannabinoids and synthetic cathinones are the two most common groups, which try to mimic the ...
