Chemistry &Biodiversity, EarlyView.Ethanolic extract of Salvinia auriculata showed significant antioxidant and antileishmanial activities. Salviniside II, the major metabolite, was isolated, structurally characterized, and evaluated, but exhibited weaker antiparasitic effects when compared to the whole extract.
