How a virus enters without breaking [PDF]
Viral glycoproteins are the flexible keys to the cell. By changing shape, they open the cell so that the virus can enter. [Libersou et al.][1] show how one glycoprotein helps the vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) gain access to mammalian cells.

Expression of Ifnlr1 on intestinal epithelial cells is critical to the antiviral effects of IFN-lambda against norovirus and reovirus [PDF]
Lambda interferon (IFN-λ) has potent antiviral effects against multiple enteric viral pathogens, including norovirus and rotavirus, in both preventing and curing infection. Because the intestine includes a diverse array of cell types, however, the cell(s)

Feline Panleukopaenia Virus and Mink Enteritis Virus [PDF]
The serological relationship of Danish feline panleukopaenia virus and mink enteritis virus and strains from Great Britain, USA, Germany and Canada was examined in neutralization tests using a direct immunofluorescence technique. Vaccine strains of the virus were used representing virus strains from the different countries. It was found that all Danish

Molecular characterization of the genome of duck enteritis virus
The genomic sequence of a strain of duck enteritis virus (DEV) was determined and analyzed in this study. The size of its genome is 158,091 bp in length and the genome is predicted to encode 78 putative proteins and resembles the members of the Alphaherpesvirinae in genomic organization and gene composition.
