Heat transfer and second law analyses of forced convection in a channel partially filled by porous media and featuring internal heat sources [PDF]
This paper provides a comprehensive study on the heat transfer and entropy generation rates in a channel partially filled with a porous medium and under constant wall heat flux.

The effects of transient radiant flow on pipe in contact with natural convection, for developed laminar flow of fluid with high Prandtl number, on enthalpy and entropy generation [PDF]
Convection flow is passed in a pipe wall possessing radiation-convection, in order to find the best case with at least enthalpy and minimum entropy generation, through pipe wall having radiant flow.

Teaching Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics Simultaneously through Pipeline Flow Experiments
Entropy and entropy generation are abstract and illusive concepts for undergraduate students. In general, students find it difficult to visualize entropy generation in real (irreversible) processes, especially at a mechanistic level.

Additive generalization of the Boltzmann entropy [PDF]
There exists only one generalization of the classical Boltzmann-Gibbs-Shannon entropy functional to a one-parametric family of additive entropy functionals. We find analytical solution to the corresponding extension of the classical ensembles, and discuss in some detail the example of the deformation of the uncorrelated state.

Entropy Generation Rates in Two-Dimensional Rayleigh–Taylor Turbulence Mixing
Entropy generation rates in two-dimensional Rayleigh–Taylor (RT) turbulence mixing are investigated by numerical calculation. We mainly focus on the behavior of thermal entropy generation and viscous entropy generation of global quantities with ...

Dan Rudolph showed that for an amenable group, Γ, the generic measure-preserving action of Γ on a Lebesgue space has zero entropy. Here, this is extended to nonamenable groups. In fact, the proof shows that every action is a factor of a zero entropy action!
