The Design of Multirotor Aircraft-based Environmental Detection System

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
This research aims at an environmental parameter detection system based on the small quadrotor UAV. The system comprises a quadrotor UAV platform, an environmental parameter detection system, a data acquisition system and a data processing system.

Potential impacts for monitoring sustainability: case study of hollow fiber membrane [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Sustainability level is a new indicator of quality and efficiency for product life cycle. Sustainability should be balanced among Triple Bottom Line (TBL) aspects namely environmental, economic and social elements.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

MODELLING, SIMULATION AND PARAMETER IDENTIFICATION OF ACTIVE POLLUTION REDUCTION WITH PHOTOCATALYTIC ASPHALT

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2019
We develop and implement a numerical model to simulate the effect of photocatalytic asphalt on reducing the concentration of nitrogen monoxide (NO) due to the presence of heavy traffic in an urban environment.

Evaluation of environmental heat stress on physiological parameters [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Health Science and Engineering, 2017
Thermal component of the atmospheric environment is an important issue which is related to human's health. Thermal environment includes both heat exchange conditions (stress) and the physiological response (strain). The aim of this study was to measure the association of heat indices (PSI, HSI, Humidex) especially subjective one (STI) with some ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Fixed-domain asymptotic properties of tapered maximum likelihood estimators

open access: yes, 2009
When the spatial sample size is extremely large, which occurs in many environmental and ecological studies, operations on the large covariance matrix are a numerical challenge.

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Gravitational Potential Environment of Galaxies: I. Simulation

open access: yes, 2010
We extend the concept of galaxy environment from the local galaxy number density to the gravitational potential and its functions like the shear tensor.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.
