Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for urinary albumin at low concentrations
We describe an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for urinary albumin. It requires only commercially available reagents, can detect as little as 16 micrograms of albumin per liter, and analytical recovery ranges from 92 to 116%.

Mucopolysaccharidosis type II: Enzyme Replacement Therapy Efficiency
Mucopolysaccharidosis type II (MPS II), or Hunter syndrome, is the hereditary lysosomal storage disease caused by pathological variants in IDS gene. Such variants lead to iduronate-2-sulfatase enzyme deficiency and glycosaminoglycan catabolism disorder ...

Enzyme replacement therapy: efficacy and limitations
Enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) is available for mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) I, MPS II, MPS VI, and MPS IVA. The efficacy of ERT has been evaluated in clinical trials and in many post-marketing studies with a long-term follow-up for MPS I, MPS II, and ...

Pró-fármaco ativado por enzima, uma estratégia promissora na quimioterapia
Strategies that promote selective activation of prodrugs by enzymes can be divided into two major classes: 1) deliver of a monoclonal antibody-enzyme immunoconjugate that can recognize a specific antigen and promote the prodrug to a citotoxic drug, with ...
