Distinct Rb expression pattern in HPV‐associated neuroendocrine carcinomas of the uterine cervix

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
Most uterine cervical neuroendocrine carcinoma (UCNEC) cases are HPV‐associated and are characterized by partial loss of Rb, p16 overexpression, and cyclin D1 negativity. A minority of UCNECs exhibit a distinct pattern, characterized by HPV negativity, retained Rb expression, focal p16 expression and cyclin D1 positivity.

Cyclin‐dependent kinase 4/6 (CDK4/6) inhibitor‐induced hepatotoxicity and its resolution: a study of seven cases

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibitor‐induced liver injury represents a clinically significant and histologically distinctive form of drug‐induced hepatotoxicity, most commonly encountered with ribociclib. The predominant pattern is severe acute hepatocellular injury, frequently accompanied by lymphocytic cholangitis, a combination that, in the appropriate clinical context,

CD68 and F4/80 Markers Demonstrate Inflammatory Synergism Between Apical Periodontitis and Liver Fibrosis in Wistar Rats

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To evaluate CD68 and F4/80 glycoproteins in the worsening of apical periodontitis (AP) and liver fibrosis (LF) in Wistar rats. Methodology Thirty‐two Wistar rats were distributed in the following groups (n = 8): C—control; AP—apical periodontitis; LF—liver fibrosis; APLF—AP and LF.

Interleukin‐12: Central Roles in Immune Regulation and Disease Therapy

open access: yesImmunology &Cell Biology, EarlyView.
IL‐12 levels are tightly regulated to balance effective protective immunity against infections and cancer with the risk of excessive inflammation and autoimmune disease. Both insufficient and excessive IL‐12 activity can therefore be detrimental, highlighting the importance of precisely controlling its production and signaling. ABSTRACT Interleukin‐12 (
