Abstract Objective Epilepsy diagnosis and treatment monitoring are hindered by the episodic, heterogeneous expression of seizures and by normal‐appearing scalp electroencephalography (EEG) in many patients. We previously described paroxysmal slow‐wave events (PSWEs), brief epochs of broadband slowing detectable on EEG in people with epilepsy.

Epi-convergent discretizations of stochastic programs via integration quadratures
Modern integration quadratures are designed to produce finitely supported approximations of a given (probability) measure. This makes them well suited for discretization of stochastic programs. We give conditions that guarantee the epi-convergence of resulting objectives to the original one.

Spatially Uniform and Defect‐Tolerant Plasmonic Responses in 3D Printed Gold Nanoparticle Assemblies
We introduce 3D nanoprinting of gold nanoparticle assemblies and show that their broad optical responses remain reproducible despite structural disorder. This robustness is attributed to ensemble‐averaged plasmonic responses from many local coupling regions.

We study the minimizers of two functionals involving critical Sobolev exponents, and whose Euler equations lead to nonlinear boundary value problems. We first employ classical methods to obtain estimates. We then rephrase the problems in a more abstract functional analytical setting.
