Asymptotic analysis of incompressible and viscous fluid flow through porous media. Brinkman's law via epi-convergence methods [PDF]
The asymptotic behaviour, when \(\in\) converges to 0, of a viscous and incompressible fluid, slowly flowing in a porous medium containing an \(\in\)-periodic distribution of identical inclusions of size \(r_{\in}\) \((\lim_{\in \to 0}(r_{\in}/\in)=0)\), is described. An improved justification of Brinkman's law is obtained, via epi-convergence methods.

Photovoltaic Effect in a III‐IV‐V Compound Semiconductor
A large reduction of the GaAs band gap is obtained with incorporation of 6.5% Ge during epitaxy without introducing extended defects or composition inhomogeneity. Heterojunction solar cell devices were fabricated with 0.76‐V open circuit voltage and an internal quantum efficiency above 40% at energies below the bandgap of the GaAs emitter.
