Novel Flavonoid Senotherapeutics Identified by Phenotypic Drug Discovery Reduce Senescence and Improve Multiple Markers of Healthspan

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 10, October 2026.
Phenotypic screening and SAR‐guided drug design identified two flavonoid‐derived senolytics, SR29384 and SR31133, which selectively killed different types of senescent cells more efficiently and with greater selectivity than fisetin in culture. In aged and progeroid mice, these fisetin analogs reduced tissue senescence and improved physical function ...

To Treat or Not to Treat: Navigating Early‐Stage CLL in the Era of Targeted Therapy

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, Volume 117, Issue 4, Page 750-766, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is most frequently diagnosed at early, asymptomatic stages (Rai 0/Binet A), in which a watch‐and‐wait strategy remains the standard of care, based on historical trials demonstrating no overall survival benefit from early treatment.

Plant‐Derived Senolytic Ingredient, Camellia sinensis Root Extract, Ameliorates Skin Aging‐Associated Phenotypes

open access: yesExperimental Dermatology, Volume 35, Issue 10, October 2026.
Camellia sinensis root extract (SENOMUNE) preferentially reduced senescent dermal fibroblast viability and decreased SASP‐associated factor expression and secretion. Its effects were associated with features consistent with LMP/cathepsin/AIF‐associated caspase‐independent cell death.

The Skin‐Lightening Efficacy and Mechanisms of Botanical Extracts: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Skin pigmentation is regulated by a complex network involving melanogenesis, melanosome transfer, oxidative stress, environmental stimuli, and epidermal turnover. Botanical extracts and phytochemicals have attracted increasing interest as potential skin‐lightening agents. This review evaluates their efficacy, mechanisms, and safety.

E3 Ubiquitin Ligases in MASH‐Associated Liver Fibrosis: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesLiver International, Volume 46, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis (MASH) is a major cause of progressive liver fibrosis and can ultimately lead to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). MASH‐associated liver fibrosis develops through a complex interplay among lipotoxic hepatocyte injury, oxidative and endoplasmic reticulum stress, inflammatory ...

A novel CsRNF‐CsHSF24‐CsF3′5′H2 module regulates epigallocatechin gallate biosynthesis in Camellia sinensis

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 128, Issue 1, October 2026.
Significance Statement While the biosynthetic pathway of tea catechins is well established, how post‐translational modifications govern this process has remained elusive. This study uncovers a regulatory module in which the E3 ubiquitin ligase CsRNF targets the transcription factor CsHSF24 for degradation, thereby controlling expression of the key ...

Safety of frozen paste from blanched, whole migratory locust (Locusta migratoria) as a novel food pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2015/2283

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 10, October 2026.
Abstract Following a request from the European Commission, the EFSA Panel on Nutrition, Novel Foods and Food Allergens (NDA) was asked to deliver an opinion on frozen paste from blanched, whole migratory locusts (Locusta migratoria) as a novel food (NF) pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2015/2283. The NF is produced from farmed sub‐adult L. migratoria, which

Multimodal Transformer Fusion of PTR‐ToF‐MS Volatiles and Targeted Non‐Volatile Metabolites Enables Data‐Driven Grading of Baimudan White Tea

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 40, Issue 18, 30 September 2026.
ABSTRACT Rationale Commercial grading of Baimudan white tea still relies largely on sensory evaluation and would benefit from a rapid, objective analytical approach. This study investigated whether PTR‐ToF‐MS volatile fingerprints combined with targeted non‐volatile metabolite measurements could support data‐driven grading of four official Baimudan ...
