Monodisperse Condensed Tannin and Derived Carbon Nanospheres Featuring Well‐Defined Surface‐Structured Metal Species

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Uniform, size‐tunable polyphenol nanospheres are assembled from condensed tannins in water at ambient conditions via controlled supramolecular interactions between tannin and diamines. Their phenolic–amine surfaces template highly dispersed metal species that resist sintering during pyrolysis.

Monitoring Insulin-Aggregated Structures in the Presence of Epigallocatechin-3-gallate and Melatonin by Molecular Dynamics Simulations

open access: yes, 2019
In the present work we illustrate the results of classical molecular dynamics simulations of model systems composed of six insulin molecules in water in the presence and in the absence of either epigallocatechin-3-gallate or melatonin molecules. For each

Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) inhibits the migratory behavior of tumor bronchial epithelial cells-1

open access: yes, 2011
Ages were recorded every 15 min. In absence of EGCG, evident alterations of the cell morphology were observed in parallel with the cell displacement (A, B, C). Cell shape modifications and cell movements were less important in presence of 5 μg/ml of EGCG

Progress in bone tissue engineering biomaterials: Development, challenges, and prospects

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Scheme 1 Application of biomaterials in immunomodulation during bone tissue engineering. Abstract Bone defect repair remains a major clinical challenge in orthopedics. Over 2 million cases caused by trauma, tumors, and other factors occur annually, with large‐scale defects posing a particular bottleneck due to limited self‐healing capacity.

Sensomics evaluation of sun drying for reducing the bitterness and astringency of crude Ancha tea

open access: yesnpj Science of Food
Drying plays a crucial role in shaping tea’s quality. This study investigated the effects of sun drying, hot-air drying, and combined drying on the taste profile of crude Ancha tea (CAT) by using sensory analysis and metabolomics methods.

Oral microbiome and homeostatic regulation of periodontal health: From dysbiosis to precision intervention

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Periodontal homeostasis is maintained by coordinated interactions between the oral microbiome and host. Dysbiosis disrupts this ecological balance and contributes to periodontal disease, whereas multi‐omics, artificial intelligence, and microbiome‐based interventions provide emerging opportunities for precision diagnosis, ecological restoration, and ...
