Human γδ T Cell Function Is Impaired Upon Mevalonate Pathway Inhibition
Mevalonate pathway is important for the effector function of gammadelta T cells. Inhibition of the pathway in vivo and in vitro impairs cytokine and cytotoxic molecule production by mainly affecting protein prenylation and disturbing intracellular signalling in Vdelta2 T cells. Created with Biorender.

Obesity‐Induced Metabolic Priming Exacerbates SARS‐CoV‐2 Inflammation
Monocytes primed under obesogenic conditions, such as increased FFA levels (i.e., palmitate) exhibit exacerbated gene expression of inflammatory cytokines. The increased proinflammatory response of palmitate‐primed and SARS‐CoV‐2‐infected monocytes is not dependent on glycolytic metabolism but instead on the entry of FFAs into the mitochondria ...

Dad's legacy: Epigenetic reprogramming and paternal inflammatory memory in offspring health
Abstract Over the past decade, numerous reports have highlighted intergenerational and even transgenerational epigenetic effects resulting from parental exposure to diets, toxins, and stress. In many cases, these parentally induced phenotypes do not seem to confer an obvious benefit, making it challenging to understand the evolutionary drivers behind ...

Accumulation of Epigenetic Noise in the Aging Corneal Epithelium and Its Possible Mechanism
We found an accumulation of epigenetic noise in the aging corneal epithelium, manifested by increases and decreases in DNA methylation levels. Our findings suggest that these changes occur due to reduced activity of TET enzymes. We assume that the age‐related changes in DNA methylation patterns and the activity of TET enzymes reflect the epigenetic ...
