Human liver cytosolic epoxide hydrolases [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Biochemistry, 1988
Human liver epoxide hydrolases were characterized by several criteria and a cytosolic cis‐stilbene oxide hydrolase (cEHcso) was purified to apparent homogeneity.Styrene oxide and five phenylmethyloxiranes were tested as substrates for human liver epoxide hydrolases.

Synthetic Epoxyeicosatrienoic Acid Mimics Protect Mesangial Cells from Sorafenib-Induced Cell Death

open access: yesMolecules
Nineteen potential mimics of 8,9-epoxyeicosatrienoic acid (8,9-EET), a natural bioactive oxylipin, were synthesized and evaluated for their ability to protect renal mesangial cells against sorafenib-induced cell death in a water-soluble tetrazolium (WST ...

Changes in the Left Ventricular Eicosanoid Profile in Human Dilated Cardiomyopathy

open access: yesFrontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine, 2022
ObjectiveMetabolites derived from N−3 and N−6 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) have both beneficial and detrimental effects on the heart. However, contribution of these lipid mediators to dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM)-associated mitochondrial ...

Protein Language Model‐Guided Engineering of a 2,3‐Butanediol Dehydrogenase for the Enantioselective Synthesis of Cyclic α‐Hydroxy Ketones

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A (2R,3R)‐butanediol dehydrogenase from Bacillus subtilis (BsBDH) is engineered for the enantioselective synthesis of 2‐hydroxycyclohexanone. A PASS computational design strategy is proposed to enhance the thermostability of BsBDH. Moreover, ESM‐1v combined with ISM is utilized for enhancing and inverting its stereoselectivity.

A Quantum Framework for Protein Binding‐Site Structure Prediction on Utility‐Level Quantum Processors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a hybrid quantum‐classical framework for accurate prediction of protein structures on utility‐level quantum processors. We evaluate the practical application of the Variational Quantum Eigen‐solver (VQE) in protein structure prediction and demonstrate its superiority over state‐of‐the‐art deep learning methods in molecular docking ...

Development of Dimethylsulfonium Probes for Broad Profiling of Methyllysine Reader Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Development of oligoglycine‐based dimethylsulfonium probes for unbiased crosslinking to methyllysine readers. The general probe facilitates profiling of site‐specific methyllysine readers, evaluation of selectivity and activity of reader inhibitors, and global profiling of methyllysine readers.
