Light‐Triggered Protease‐Mediated Release of Actin‐Bound Cargo from Synthetic Cells
TEV Prtoease‐mediated Releasable Actin‐binding Protein (TRAP) is a protein‐based platform consisting of a cargo tightly bound to reconstituted actin networks in synthetic cells which can be proteolyticly released from the bound actin, followed by its secretion through membrane translocation mediated by a cell‐penetrating peptide.

Addressing Failures in Robotics using Vision-Based Language Models (VLMs) and Behavior Trees (BT) [PDF]
In this paper, we propose an approach that combines Vision Language Models (VLMs) and Behavior Trees (BTs) to address failures in robotics. Current robotic systems can handle known failures with pre-existing recovery strategies, but they are often ill-equipped to manage unknown failures or anomalies. We introduce VLMs as a monitoring tool to detect and

An Integral Equation Approach to Equipment Failure
Summary An integro-difference equation relating the distributions of the times between successive failures of a piece of complex equipment is obtained. It is shown that in the limit this equation yields the exponential distribution (or its discrete analogue, the geometric distribution).
