Roots of Equivalence in Translation History Till The Current Times With Concentration on Arabic as an Example

open access: yesInternational Journal of Language and Translation Studies, 2023
Achieving equal value or equivalence between the source text (ST) and the target text (TT) is the key aim of every translation attempt. However, since equivalence evades a concrete definition, this can complicate the translation process.

The weak equivalence principle and the Dirac constant: A result from the holographic principle

open access: yesResults in Physics
In this article, based on a recent formularization of the holographic principle proposed and investigated by the present author, we show that the weak equivalence principle in general relativity is equivalent to the equivalence between two forms of the ...

Engagement Patterns With an Artificial Intelligence Health Coach for Systemic Sclerosis Self‐Management: A Mixed Methods Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective To evaluate utility of an artificial intelligence (AI) health coach for systemic sclerosis (SSc) self‐management and identify patterns associated with participant engagement. Methods We conducted a mixed methods study in which an AI health coach, powered by a large language model (LLM), was used to support self‐management for SSc.

On the Completion of the Equivalence Principle

open access: yes
In an extremely early preliminay manuscipt we present a theory that completes Einstein's program by adding a third equivalence: \emph{finite separation induces time dilation}. The universal dilation field $\phi$ determines clock rates, redshifts, and effective particle scales in a static global geometry while reproducing General Relativity (GR) locally.

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

Czech pension reform: how to reconcile equivalence with fiscal discipline

open access: yesCentral European Journal of Public Policy, 2015
One of the recent changes in the Czech Republic’s pension system was provoked by a petition to the Constitutional Court. The setting of bend points for determining the amount of pensions depending on the insured person’s previous earnings was contested ...
