Newtonian Equivalence Principles [PDF]
AbstractThe equivalence principle has constituted one of the cornerstones of discussions in the foundations of spacetime theories over the past century. However, up to this point the principle has been considered overwhelmingly only within the context of relativistic physics.

Equivalence principle and the Moon [PDF]
The perturbation of the lunar motion caused by a hypothetical violation of the equivalence principle is analytically worked out in terms of power series \`a la Hill-Brown. The interaction with the quadrupolar tide is found to amplify the leading order term in the synodic range oscillation by more than 62\%.

A GENERALIZED EQUIVALENCE PRINCIPLE [PDF]
Gauge field theories may quite generally be defined as describing the coupling of a matter-field to an interaction-field, and they are suitably represented in the mathematical framework of fiber bundles. Their underlying principle is the so-called gauge principle, which is based on the idea of deriving the coupling structure of the fields by ...

The equivalence and/or the effacing principle in $$ f\left( R\right) $$ f R theories of gravity
The Einstein–Hilbert action of the general theory of relativity (GR) is the integral of the scalar curvature R. It is a theory that is drawn from the Equivalence principle and has predictions that come out as a consequence of the principle, in ...

The Equivalence Principle as a Symmetry [PDF]
It is shown that the extra coordinate of 5D induced-matter and membrane theory is related in certain gauges to the inertial rest mass of a test particle. This implies that the Weak Equivalence Principle is a geometric symmetry, valid only in the limit in which the test mass is negligible compared to the source mass. Exact solutions illustrate this, and

The mass-energy-information equivalence principle
Landauer’s principle formulated in 1961 states that logical irreversibility implies physical irreversibility and demonstrated that information is physical.

Weak equivalence principle violation for mixed scalar particles
We investigate the non-relativistic limit of the Klein–Gordon equation for mixed scalar particles and show that, in this regime, one unavoidably arrives at redefining the particle’s inertial mass. This happens because, in contrast to the case when mixing
