Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Assessing the Equivalence of Computerized and Conventional Versions of Psychological Tests
Introduction. This paper (a) discusses the theoretical and methodological evidence for the equivalence of computerized and conventional versions of psychological tests, (b) analyzes the studies investigating psychometric parameters of computerized ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Testing for equivalence of diagnostic tests. [PDF]
T he technology of diagnostic radiology is changing rapidly. Associated with these changes is a need to compare technologies with one another in an appropriate and valid fashion. To make meaningful comparisons, appropriate questions must be asked and tested. However, in comparing diagnostic technologies, we ot’ten ask and test the wrong question.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Liquidity Constrains and Ricardian Equivalence in Estonia [PDF]
This paper aims to find evidence of the influence of government deficit on private consumption in Estonia. The data only shows some support for Ricardian equivalence. Two approaches were used in the empirical tests.

On generic structures preserving elementary equivalence and elementary embeddability
We consider criteria for elementary equivalence and elementary embeddability for generic structures. They use classical characterizations for the general case.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Testing for Multivariate Equivalence with Random Quadratic Forms [PDF]
Multivariate equivalence testing becomes necessary whenever the similarity rather than a difference between several treatment groups with multiple endpoints has to be shown.

Sorting test as a measurement of expansion of equivalence classes [PDF]
Previous studies have documented that sorting test can be used as an adequate measure for formation and expansion of equivalence class. Beside the inclusion of a meaningful stimulus in the set of stimuli increases the probabilities of equivalence class ...
