Wired equivalent privacy reinvestigated
Journal of Discrete Mathematical Sciences and Cryptography, 2010Abstract Security is a strong requirement for effective deployment of business wireless communication applications. Therefore, many proposals dealt with security holes in Wired Equivalent Privacy protocol (WEP). In this paper, we analyze WEP security holes and we propose an improvement over WEP which achieves its security goals.

Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP)
2009 International Conference on Future Computer and Communication, 2009There are some demonstrable reasons for customers who like use from wireless technology and this is clear because there are various benefits for using wireless technology. The contrast between wireless usage and security techniques growing, show that the security is not adequate enough for this data growing.

An equivalent circuit for the double bonding wire interconnection
1999 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (Cat. No.99CH36282), 2003This work proposes a quasi-static model for the double bonding wire interconnection. The wires have been assumed to be parallel, while their curvature has been described with an arc of circle. The model is based on the representation of the structure by means of four sections of a uniform, homogeneous transmission line.

An Equivalent Complex Permeability Model for Litz-Wire Windings
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2005Previous methods for calculating power loss in litz-wire windings usually assume very fine strands such that the diameter of strands is much smaller than skin depth. In this paper, we present a method for calculating proximity-effect loss in litz-wire windings.

Equivalent transport models in atomistic quantum wires
Physical Review B, 2012The paper presents low-dimensional quantum models for atomistic transport in nanowire field-effect transistors. A variational method is developed to construct a small representative basis which reproduces physical states of a tight-binding Hamiltonian within an arbitrary energy window.

On the equivalent circuit approximation of magnetoimpedance in amorphous wires
Materials Letters, 1998Abstract The magnetoimpedance response of CoFeBSi wires was measured at frequencies equal, below and above the relaxation frequency. We show that the behavior of the real and imaginary parts of inductance, as a function of the current amplitude is clearly consistent with modeling of the wire response by means of a parallel RL equivalent circuit.

A Simplified 2-D Equivalent Model for Magnetic Wire Array
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2022Demagnetization factor and corresponding apparent permeability for multi-wire arrays using the 3D finite element method are calculated in this paper. The effect of distance between magnetic wires on the demagnetization factor and apparent magnetic permeability is studied for various values of relative magnetic permeability. The simulations are compared

Exposing the Wired Equivalent Privacy Protocol Weaknesses in Wireless Networks
International Journal of Business Data Communications and Networking, 2005This article highlights a number of security issues within wireless networks. Signal leakage for instance, means that network communications can be picked up outside the physical boundaries of the building in which they are being operated, meaning that a hacker can operate from the street outside or discretely from blocks away.

An Equivalent Circuit Model for Large Numbers of Bonding Wires
Electromagnetics, 2008Abstract A modeling procedure is developed to generate a π-type equivalent circuit for large numbers of bonding wires at frequencies of 0.04–6 GHz. Elements in the equivalent circuit are obtained by employing a curve-fitting technique together with Newton's iteration method to fit the equivalent circuit's series impedance and shunt admittance responses
