An Equivalent ABCD-Matrix Formalism for Non-Local Wire Media With Arbitrary Terminations [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2020
A simple analytical model based on the transmission-matrix approach is proposed for equivalent wire-medium (WM) interfaces. The obtained ABCD matrices for equivalent interfaces capture the non-local effects due to the evanescent transverse magnetic (TM) WM mode and in part due to the propagating transverse electromagnetic (TEM) WM mode.

Reliability of repetitively avalanched wire-bonded low-voltage discrete power trench n-MOSFETs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This paper, for the first time, investigates the reliability of wire-bonded low-voltage discrete power trench n-MOSFETs that have been subjected to repetitive unclamped inductive switching (RUIS).

Research on Torque Ratio Based on the Steering Wheel Torque Characteristic for Steer-by-Wire System

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
Steer-by-wire system can improve the performance of vehicle handling stability. Removing the mechanical linkages between the front wheels and the steering wheel leads to a key technique of force feedback for steer-by-wire system.

Impact of Wire Selection on the Performance of an Induction Motor for Automotive Applications

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
This paper investigates the impact of the wire selection on the performance of induction motors for automotive applications. The section of wire and the material are evaluated at a high speed of 200 kW in an induction motor designed for premium vehicle ...

Influence of Wire-Based Impedance-Matching on Helical Antenna Radiation and Limitations of Equivalent Model

open access: yesTelfor Journal, 2019
We investigate the influence of a wire-based impedance-matching network for an axial-mode helical antenna on the radiation pattern. This network, proposed in our previous work, comprises a single wire attached to the helix. We show that the matching wire,

Output Characteristics and Circuit Modeling of Wiegand Sensor

open access: yesSensors, 2019
A fast magnetization reversal in a twisted FeCoV wire induces a pulse voltage in a pick-up coil wound around a wire. The Wiegand sensor is composed of this magnetic wire and the pick-up coil.

The moment of inertia method to calculate equivalent ranges in non-proportional tension–torsion histories

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2015
A critical issue in multiaxial damage calculation in non-proportional (NP) histories is to find the equivalent stress or strain ranges and mean components associated with each rainflow-counted cycle of the stress (or strain) path.

Genetic dissection of human ABCE1 in yeast reveals separable requirements for ribosome recycling and suppression of aberrant reinitiation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human ABCE1 cannot functionally replace its yeast ortholog. Yeast–human chimera analysis identified NBD1 as a major interspecies barrier. Genetic screening yielded hABCE1 revertants that rescue yeast viability but fail to suppress aberrant translation reinitiation in the 3′ UTR.

A Stochastic Analysis of the Transient Current Induced along the Thin Wire Scatterer Buried in a Lossy Medium

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2016
The paper deals with the stochastic collocation analysis of a time domain response of a straight thin wire scatterer buried in a lossy half-space. The wire is excited either by a plane wave transmitted through the air-ground interface or by an equivalent
