ERAP1 deficiency protects HLA-B27 transgenic rats from arthritis
The Journal of Immunology, 2016Abstract HLA-B27 (B27) confers a strong predisposition to spondyloarthritis (SpA). Rats transgenic for B27 (B27-TG) develop SpA-like disease with gut inflammation and arthritis. Common variants in ERAP1, which trims peptides for HLA class I in the ER, have been associated with SpA.

Associations between ERAP1 polymorphisms and ankylosing spondylitis susceptibility: a meta-analysis
Inflammation Research, 2011The aim of this study was to determine whether five polymorphisms of endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 (ERAP1) confer susceptibility to ankylosing spondylitis (AS).The authors conducted five types of meta-analysis on the associations between the rs27044, rs17482078, rs10050860, rs30187, and rs2287987 polymorphisms of ERAP1 and AS susceptibility ...

AB0004 Erap1 Polymorphisms in Korean Patients with Behcet's Disease
Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, 2014Background Non-synonymous ERAP1 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), rs10050860 and rs17482078, were found to be associated with Behcet9s disease (BD) by a recessive model in Turkish patients [1]. Objectives To investigate the association between ERAP1 SNPs and BD in Korean patients.

ERAP1-ERAP2 haplotypes are associated with ankylosing spondylitis in Polish patients
Human Immunology, 2019The objective of this case-control study was to evaluate the role of four single-nucleotide polymorphisms in the ERAP1 (rs2287987, rs30187, rs27044) and ERAP2 (rs2248374) genes and their haplotypes in predicting the risk for ankylosing spondylitis (AS) on a well-defined Polish population.

Abstract LB367: Effects of modulation of ERAP1 activity in antigen processing and presentation
Cancer ResearchERAP1 is an enzyme that plays a key role in the antigen processing and presentation pathway as an editor of the peptide repertoire, allowing for the binding of neoantigens to MHC I.
