Comprehensive Profiling of N6‐methyladnosine (m6A) Readouts Reveals Novel m6A Readers That Regulate Human Embryonic Stem Cell Differentiation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This research deciphers the m6A transcriptome by profiling its sites and functional readout effects: from mRNA stability, translation to alternative splicing, across five different cell types. Machine learning model identifies novel m6A‐binding proteins DDX6 and FXR2 and novel m6A reader proteins FUBP3 and L1TD1.

Generating parity check equations for bounded-distance iterative erasure decoding

open access: yes, 2006
A generic $(r,m)$-erasure correcting set is a collection of vectors in $\bF_2^r$ which can be used to generate, for each binary linear code of codimension $r$, a collection of parity check equations that enables iterative decoding of all correctable ...

Lactylation‐Driven YTHDC1 Alleviates MASLD by Suppressing PTPN22‐Mediated Dephosphorylation of NLRP3

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In MASLD, YTHDC1 undergoes increased lactylation and ubiquitination, reducing its expression. AARS1 mediates lactylation at lysine 565, while disrupted binding to LDHA further promotes lactylation, suppressing YTHDC1. This downregulation enhances PTPN22 mRNA stability, leading to NLRP3 dephosphorylation and activation, which exacerbates inflammation ...

Versatile CRISPR‐Cas Tools for Gene Regulation in Zebrafish via an Enhanced Q Binary System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces CRISPR‐Q, a transgenic CRISPR‐Cas system leveraging the QFvpr/QUAS binary expression platform in zebrafish. CRISPR‐Q overcomes previous challenges in achieving stable and efficient gene regulation. By enabling precise spatiotemporal control of transcript knockdown (CRISPR‐QKD) and gene activation (CRISPR‐Qa), it provides a ...

Strong Secrecy for Erasure Wiretap Channels

open access: yes, 2010
We show that duals of certain low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes, when used in a standard coset coding scheme, provide strong secrecy over the binary erasure wiretap channel (BEWC).

Investigation of Optimal Data Encoding Parameters Based on User Preference for Cloud Storage

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The erasure encoding scheme creates multiple coded data and parity fragments to protect the data from the losses. Nowadays, most storage systems like cloud storage utilize the erasure coding scheme to attain superior data consistency, reliability, and ...

Mitophagy and Ubiquitination Coordinate Context‐Specific Mitochondrial Quality Control and EMT/MET Plasticity to Drive Cancer Cell Invasion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Metastatic invasion emerges when tumor‐intrinsic programs and microenvironmental forces converge on mitochondrial quality control. A context‐stratified framework links mtROS, mtDNA integrity, mechanics and nutrient/oxygen cues to fission–fusion remodeling, mtUPR and mitophagy.

ZSL Orchestrates Synaptonemal Complex Assembly as a Central Region Scaffold to Ensure Synapsis Fidelity and Crossover Control in Polyploid Meiosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A central molecular adaptor, ZSL, is identified that links transverse filaments ZYP1 to central element SCEP1/2 to drive synaptonemal complex assembly in Brassica napus. Loss of ZSL abolishes synaptonemal complex formation, disrupts meiotic chromosome segregation, and markedly increases crossovers, providing mechanistic insight into meiotic fidelity ...

Joint Cache-Channel Coding over Erasure Broadcast Channels

open access: yes, 2015
We consider a cache-aided communications system in which a transmitter communicates with many receivers over an erasure broadcast channel. The system serves as a basic model for communicating on-demand content during periods of high network congestion ...
