The role of the dopant in the electronic structure of erbium-doped TiO2 for quantum emitters

open access: yesAPL Materials
Erbium-doped TiO2 materials are promising candidates for advancing quantum technologies, necessitating a thorough understanding of their electronic and crystal structures to tailor their properties and enhance coherence times.

Quantum chaos in Feshbach resonances of the ErYb system

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2020
We investigate ultracold magnetic-field-assisted collisions in the so far unexplored ErYb system. The nonsphericity of the Er atom leads to weakly anisotropic interactions that provide the mechanism for Feshbach resonances to emerge.

Effects of ErF3 Particles on the Structure and Physicomechanical Properties of A359 Alloy

open access: yesMetals, 2023
In this work, the impact of ErF3 submicroparticles on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the A359 alloy was studied. ErF3 particles provided a homogeneous structure in castings produced via the casting method.

Linewidth and frequency jitter measurement of an erbium-doped fiber ring laser by using a loss-compensated, delayed self-heterodyne interferometer [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
The single-mode line width of erbium-doped, single-frequency, fiber ring laser has been measured by using a newly developed loss-compensated delayed self-heterodyne interferometer that has a resolution of less than 600 Hz.

Determination of erbium by using fast neutron induced gamma-ray activation analysis

open access: yesHe jishu
BackgroundIn the process of nuclear fuel generation, neutron poisons are added to enhance performance of nuclear fuel. Erbium is a common neutron poison, and its content needs to be measured and analyzed during the production of such nuclear fuels.

Energy transfer processes in Er-doped SiO2 sensitized with Si nanocrystals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We present a high-resolution photoluminescence study of Er-doped SiO2 sensitized with Si nanocrystals (Si NCs). Emission bands originating from recombination of excitons confined in Si NCs and of internal transitions within the 4f-electron core of Er3 ...
