A Comparison and Error Analysis of Error Bounds

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2018
In this paper, we present an error analysis with the help of Ostrowski type inequalities for n-times differentiable mappings by using n-times peano kernel. A comparison is also presented which shows that obtained error bounds are better than the previous

Error bounds in mathematical programming

open access: yesMathematical Programming, 1997
Originated from the practical implementation and numerical considerations of iterative methods for solving mathematical programs, the study of error bounds has grown and proliferated in many interesting areas within mathematical programming.

Bounds on decoherence and error [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 1998
When a confined system interacts with its walls (treated quantum mechanically), there is an intertwining of degrees of freedom. We show that this need not lead to entanglement, hence decoherence. It will generally lead to error. The wave function optimization required to avoid decoherence is also examined.

Perturbation of error bounds

open access: yesMathematical Programming, 2017
Our aim in the current article is to extend the developments in Kruger, Ngai & Théra, SIAM J. Optim. 20(6), 3280-3296 (2010) and, more precisely, to characterize, in the Banach space setting, the stability of the local and global error bound property of inequalities determined by proper lower semicontinuous under data perturbations.

Effect of Signal-Dependent Shot Noise on Visible Light Positioning

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2022
This paper investigates the error bounds for position estimation in downlink visible light communication (VLC) systems. More precisely, we use Cramér-Rao lower bounds (CRLBs) to study the effect of signal-dependent shot noise (SDSN) on the error ...

Global error bounds of the extended vertical linear complementarity problems for Dashnic–Zusmanovich matrices and Dashnic–Zusmanovich-B matrices

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2022
Global error bounds of the extended vertical linear complementarity problems for Dashnic–Zusmanovich (DZ) matrices and Dashnic–Zusmanovich-B (DZ-B) matrices are presented, respectively.

Approximation with Error Bounds in Spark [PDF]

open access: yes2019 IEEE 27th International Symposium on Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation of Computer and Telecommunication Systems (MASCOTS), 2019
We introduce a sampling framework to support approximate computing with estimated error bounds in Spark. Our framework allows sampling to be performed at the beginning of a sequence of multiple transformations ending in an aggregation operation. The framework constructs a data provenance tree as the computation proceeds, then combines the tree with ...

Computable error bounds for collocation methods

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1995
This paper deals with error bounds for numerical solutions of linear ordinary differential equations by global or piecewise polynomial collocation methods which are based on consideration of the involved differential operator, related matrices and the ...

Computable lower bounds for deterministic parameter estimation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This paper is primarily tutorial in nature and presents a simple approach(norm minimization under linear constraints) for deriving computable lower bounds on the MSE of deterministic parameter estimators with a clear interpretation of the bounds. We also

Estimates of the Approximation Error Using Rademacher Complexity: Learning Vector-Valued Functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
For certain families of multivariable vector-valued functions to be approximated, the accuracy of approximation schemes made up of linear combinations of computational units containing adjustable parameters is investigated.
