Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Bounds for distribution functions of sums of squares and radial errors
Bounds are found for the distribution function of the sum of squares X2+Y2 where X and Y are arbitrary continuous random variables. The techniques employed, which utilize copulas and their properties, show that the bounds are pointwise best-possible when

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

On truncations for weakly ergodic inhomogeneous birth and death processes
We investigate a class of exponentially weakly ergodic inhomogeneous birth and death processes. We consider special transformations of the reduced intensity matrix of the process and obtain uniform (in time) error bounds of truncations. Our approach also

Error Analysis of Fixed-Gain AF Relaying with MRC Over Nakagami-m Fading Channels [PDF]
This article investigates the error performance of wireless communication systems that employ binary modulations and Amplify-and-Forward (AF) relaying over flat Nakagami-m faded links with maximum ratio combining (MRC) at destination.

Constrained Multi-Sensor Control Using a Multi-Target MSE Bound and a δ-GLMB Filter
The existing multi-sensor control algorithms for multi-target tracking (MTT) within the random finite set (RFS) framework are all based on the distributed processing architecture, so the rule of generalized covariance intersection (GCI) has to be used to

Error Bounds forDiscrete Geometric Approach
Electromagnetic problems spatially discretized by the so called Discrete Geometric Approach are considered, where Discrete Counterparts of Constitutive Relations are discretized within an Energetic Approach. Pairs of oriented dual grids are considered in which the primal grid is composed of (oblique) parallelepipeds, (oblique) triangular prisms and ...

This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Extending Reliability of mmWave Radar Tracking and Detection via Fusion With Camera
In this paper, a new radar-camera fusion system is presented. The fusion system takes into consideration the error bounds of the two different coordinate systems from the heterogeneous sensors, and further a new fusion-extended Kalman filter is utilized ...
